Top 5 Wednesday: My First Booktube Video?

I love, love, love this book blogging community. But I also love to watch BookTube videos! So I decided to give it a go. And what better way to start than a T5W video? Please be kind, I’m obviously not a great editor….

  1. Your video is great and EEK I LOVE YOUR ACCENT! I’ve been wanting to start a booktube channel forever, maybe I’ll give it a go next year! 🙂 I so badly want to read Eragon – I’ve heard such amazing things!

  2. I don’t watch a lot of booktube videos but I’ll be following yours for sure if you decide to make more!

Your experience with the Eragon is similar to what happened to me with Harry Potter. I couldn’t wait for books 3 and 4 to be translated into Slovenian and I bought the originals and those were the first “big” books I read in English. They also made me want to be a translator, so in a way, HP decided my career! 🙂

And when my husband’s on the lookout for a new fantasy series to start (he always is), I’ll recommend the Riyria books for sure!

  3. Subscribed! It must have taken a lot of courage to do this! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do it.
I’m planning to get to Theft of Swords this Fall! Finally! Warbreaker is definitely a great introduction to fantasy! Hopefully you’ll get to Stormlight Archive too. There might be some familiar characters lurking around there.

  4. Ah, great video, Jolien! I think it’s really great that you decided to give Booktube a go, definitely nothing to be embarrassed about 🙂 will for sure keep an eye out for your future videos!
I’ve only read Harry Potter and Eragon and they are definitely amazing gateway books. The other 3 are on my TBR to start soonish though! 🙂 (Hoping to start with The Others this fall)
