MOVIES

The Way He Looks // ★★★★.5 // I love this movie. I think this is a Brazilian movie (please correct me if I’m wrong) so I’m glad Netflix could provide subtitles. This is the sweetest coming of age story ever! It’s about Leo, a blind boy, and Gabriel, the new kid at school. It’s about friendship, love, being blind, experiencing life and so on. If you haven’t watched this, please do. It’s brilliant.
Sleeping With Other People // ★★★★ // I mainly picked this up because of Jason Sudeikis. I love him -and I think he’s hilarious, ever since I watched We’re the Millers. I really liked this movie, because it was honest. They both had such problems they had to deal with, and helped each other. I do think they should’ve done something about their feelings sooner though.
TV SHOWS

I watched the first (few) episode(s) of Scorpion, Lucifer and Elementary. I hate what Scorpion is doing to Walter and Paige. I love Lucifer just as much as I did last year, and I’m so glad to be back with Joan & Sherlock.
I also watched a few more episodes of Daredevil, although I’m still only on season 1. I do love Matt already.
And time for some new shows! I couldn’t wait to watch the first episode of Conviction. I was so sad when Agent Carter got cancelled, so I had to watch Hayley Atwell’s new show. I already love it -plus, it doesn’t hurt that it’s from the executive producer of Criminal Minds, one of my all-time favorite shows. I’ll definitely keep watching this one.
I also watched the first 3 episodes of the new Syfy show Van Helsing. So far, I’m not really feeling it. In the trailer we saw that there was a vampire-like rising and the world went to hell. Then they found a descendant of Van Helsing. Yet even after episode 3, the cast of characters hasn’t figured that out yet. It’s like constantly waiting on the big reveal you already know, because it’s both the title and the poster! I’m not sure I’ll keep watching this one.
Because I was walking around on my own in Dublin, it was the perfect time to listen to some podcasts!

Ladies Who Lunch // I still love this podcast, and think it’s definitely worth listening to. Cat & Ingrid talk about many topics, share their opinions and discuss. This week I listened to their episodes about toxic relationships, periods and whether we are all racists.
The Prude and the Pornstar // I was doubting whether to put this podcast on here, but I listened to it and loved it, so I decided I should. Don’t judge this based on the title alone. Listen to it. It’s about two friends, Madison and Carla. Madison is a pornstar, and Carla is a woman who decided to wait until her wedding day at 25. I love their friendship! They are both accepting and supporting of each other, even though they are so vastly different. I love this podcast for many reasons: they are supportive, honest, and women who aren’t ashamed of their sexual choices. It’s about being polyamorous, self-confidence, looking into yourself when you’re jealous and why that is, and of course, sex.
Like I mentioned before, I went to Dublin this week! I decided to finally take my solo trip, which is one of my resolutions before turning 23 next year. I loved it. Dublin is SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CITY. The people are so unbelievably kind. I will definitely return to Ireland. I really want to take a trip through the country one day.
That was my week! How was yours? Did you read, watch or do anything fun?
What a great week you had. Dublin is a lovely city and the people are very welcoming. We also recently visited Belfast which was again a very welcoming city.

I loved the first season of Daredevil. I don’t think I’ve seen a character referred to more times as a cinnamon roll than Matt. I absolutely adore the friendship aspect with Foggy. I’m so sad about Agent Carter being cancelled. I loved that show so much. Hope you have a lovely week!

I’m glad you had a good time in Dublin. The rest of the country is even better (I’m biased since I’m from outside Dublin) ;D

I watched Conviction this week too, and loved it! I’m so happy to see Hayley back on our screens even if it’s not as Peggy Carter. I’m so so excited to see the rest of the season—I hope it stands up to my expectations.

I love Elementary it’s such a good show but I am so far behind with it. Joan is the best and I love Lucy Lui in that role.
Both those podcasts sounds so intriguing, I really want to start getting into podcast and these seem like things I would want to listen to, strong female friendships etc.
Sounds like you had a great time in Dublin and Ii hope this next week is great too 🙂
