It’s time to talk about the 2 books I managed to read during the month of November. I actually read both of them this week, and they’re the first books I’ve managed to read in 2 months. I’m slowly getting my reading mojo back, I think. So let’s talk about the books!

The Gray Wolf Throne (Seven Realms #3) by Cinda Williams Chima // ★★★★ // I started getting my reading mojo back when my copy of the 4th book in this series arrived. I really wanted to read it and finish the series to find out what happens to my favorite characters. But I didn’t really remember all that much about book 3, even though I only read it in April. So I decided to re-read it. I now know that the reason I didn’t remember much is because not all that much happens in this one. It’s mostly a filler book, I think, to set up the story for the grand finale. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it. 4 stars it is.
The Crimson Crown (Seven Realms #4) by Cinda Williams Chima // ★★★★★ // And then it was time to read the last book in the series. I LOVED THIS. I will say that if you’re not a fan of political intrigue and politics in fantasy, then you won’t enjoy this book. Politics and life at court is really the main focus of this book. Alliances are made and broken left and right, and it might have given me whiplash. But I really loved this book! I’m so glad I finished the series. Pat on the back for starting and finishing a series within the same calendar year, right?
That’s it. That’s all I read this month. It’s 2 books more than last month! I’m currently about halfway through The Disappearance of Winter’s Daughter (Riyria Chronicles #4) by Michael J. Sullivan. I received my early copy a while ago as a backer of his Kickstarter campaign, and I’m so glad to return to two of my favorite characters ever.
What did you read in November? Have you read the Seven Realms series?
I read this series a while back and I can’t remember which book it was, but there’s one I didn’t like at all because it felt too much like a filler. Still though, I really enjoyed the series!
I Haven’t read The Warrior Heir by this author yet, but I think I will now. My reading mojo is definitely still not back yet, but I hope that changes for this year (2018).
Anyway, currently reading Turtles All The Way Down by John Green. Wish me luck!

I’m glad you’re getting out of your slump! It’s so hard when nothing looks good and you just want to read. I’ve heard really good things about Cinda William’s Chyma’s books … I’ll have to try one one of these days!

I’ve always wanted to read Cinda Williams Chima’s books… I’ve heard so many good things about it. But I’m just always reluctant to start another large and famous fantasy series!

Me too, to be honest. I read the first book at the start of 2017 so it was already such a famous series! But this one ended up being really fun and easy to read, which meant that it didn’t feel like I had 4 books to read 😀

I’m so glad Cinda Williams Chima got you out of your slump! I love that series. I still need to read the Riyria Chronicles. I read the first series a while ago, but for some reason I haven’t continued. How is it in comparison to the first?
I hope December will be a great reading month for you!
Here’s my November recap. 😊

Thanks, Maraia! ❤
I think I enjoyed it about as much as the first 3 in the series? But I read the Riyria Revelations series first (as the Chronicles are the prequels) which means I was already invested and in love with Royce & Hadrian when I started the Chronicles. 😀

Jolien, I love how much you enjoy this series. I only read the first one so far, however, I plan to keep going. Perhaps your answer to the question lies in the spin off to this series? It stars with Flamecaster, That series has the prettiest covers. I have all of this author’s books, I think. I like her writing style a lot. So, what I am trying to say is, I will come back and fangirl with you once I catch up. *pinkie promises*

Thanks, Dina! I have seen it around, but I don’t own it yet. I will wait until you’ve caught up, because I’m in no rush to start it 😀
